Course work: Switched to charcoal pencil and did six two-minute sketches of my recumbent model. Again, most are only partial, with pentimenti in plenty; however, there are a few lines that I like. Foreshortening and proportions are problems, as anticipated.

Personal sketchbook work: A sketch of the most willful of our cats, stubbornly ensconced on the back of the forbidden chair.
Other activity: Did a computer search for André Lhote, teacher of Tamara Lempicka. Much of his work is very strongly cubist, and relatively little of his influence seems to have carried over to Lempicka’s work. I found a good bit more of Lempicka’s work on the web, including a large collection of drawings, which I looked through. (This activity not included in time recording.)
